Marina Malgina received her Master of Philosophy in Comparative and International Education from the University of Oslo, Norway in 2006. From that year until 2010, she worked as an expert in credential evaluation of higher education qualifications from the former Soviet Union and Africa at NOKUT - the Norwegian Agency for Quality Assurance in Education. She was assigned Project Leader for the development of the special recognition procedure for refugees, displaced persons, and persons in a refugee-like situation in 2010. The project was initiated by an order from the Norwegian Ministry of Education and Science, and is conducted in cooperation with Norwegian higher education institutions. In 2013-2015 she held the position of Project Manager for the special recognition procedure for refugees and persons without verifiable documentation (UVD-procedure), and since January 2016 she is the Head of Refugee Section at NOKUT - the Norwegian ENIC-NARIC office.
