Celebrating all things Irish!

St. Patrick’s Day. A day when the world turns green, as we celebrate everything Irish. Whether you’re a seasoned visitor to the Emerald Isle, or your first visit will in fact be for the EAIE Conference this September, we’d like to highlight some of the plans you can already start making for your 2012 EAIE Dublin experience! And what better time to do this than when the Irish culture is being celebrated by millions around the world on St. Paddy’s Day!

First things first, hotels

We’ve recently posted details of all the hotels that we’ve secured for the conference in Dublin. Our overview, complete with a detailed map, will help you to choose the best type of accommodation for your needs. We recommend that you book as early as possible as September is a very busy period for hotels in Dublin.

Prepare to explore

During your conference downtime (if you have any!) we’re sure that you’ll enjoy sampling some of the delights of Dublin! We’ve put together details of the top ten attractions of Dublin, and you can also book a number of organised tours through our official Dublin 2012 Hotel and Travel Agency. Dublin is literally bursting with historical remnants at every corner so start planning your trip now to make the most of your stay!

Partial to a pint of Guinness?

If you’re toasting St. Patrick with a drop of ‘the black stuff’ on this famous Saint’s Day, you will probably be interested to know that this year’s venue for the EAIE Dinner and Dance is the legendary Guinness Storehouse! Keep the night of Thursday 13 September free for a truly spirited night! On the subject of Guinness, did you know that the perfect pint takes over three minutes to pour? All good things come to those who wait! Including, the EAIE Conference!

Happy St. Patrick’s Day from all at the EAIE!
