Bruno Woeran (Austria) is Managing Director of DANUBE (www.danube.or.at) since 1996. For 18 years DANUBE has organised academic placements for universities and companies. 1994, after working and studying three years in the USA, Bruno initiated and started the RTD/Innovation business service unit at APS – the regional LEONARDO office responsible for southern Austria. His international study and work experience began as joint study scholar at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. He holds a Masters degree in business administration (1993) as well as a degree from the University of Economics and Business Administration, Vienna (1991). Bruno serves on several boards to foster transnational work experiences www.leo-net.org, technology transfer and innovation www.tii.org. Bruno is co-founder and current Executive board member of LEO-NET, THE practical internship support network throughout Europe and beyond. He is involved with EAIE and EMPLOI for several years, organising workshops, trainings and sessions and is currently EMPLOI Board member.
