For 10 years Astrid has been Head of the International Office at University of Tromsø in Northern Norway. University of Tromsø is the northernmost university in the world. She has served in the SAFSA board for the two last years. Those two years of “apprenticeship” have been an excellent learning platform of how an organization like EAIE works and she would like to contribute to its goals for another period. In the globalised higher education area, an organization like EAIE is crucial for people working in internationalization of higher education, both for inexperienced staff and seniors. Student matters and advising remain core issues in internationalization and Astrid would like to contribute to the state of the art developments that SAFSA represent.
