My expertise is in North American higher education, especially US study abroad, but secondarily in information about the NA degree system for international students seeking to go to the US or Canada as I do some recruiting work here. I am also BIG on associations of international educators/administrators and have expertise as Chair of our UK association for 8 years and I am still on the management committee.
Expertise:
I would say I am something of an expert [dealings with UK government departments, training as an immigration adviser] in immigration requirements for international students coming to the UK. I know most of what there is to know about US study abroad. I work a lot with students doing work placements. Finally, we have a very active ‘association’ of US university programmes in the UK, with almost 100 members at the moment [www.aasapuk.org]. Having been chair 1998-2006 I am very familiar with the broad range of work and benefits that come with collaboration between institutions working in international education.
