The EAIE realises that attending a new conference of this size can be overwhelming. But you are not alone! Annually, over one-third of participants are newcomers and the EAIE is committed to providing all newcomers with as many tools and information as possible to help them find their way.
Events not to be missed
EAIE Newcomers’ welcome reception
Is this your first EAIE conference? Would you like the chance to meet fellow first-timers in an informal atmosphere? Be sure to attend this special welcome reception for newcomers, which is free for all registered newcomers.
EAIE Newcomers’ networking dinner cruise
Continue your networking as you float along the Erdre River enjoying a three-course meal.
EAIE membership is divided into Professional Sections and Special Interest Groups to facilitate networking amongst members who specialise in particular fields of international education. The PS/SIG Opening Sessions are a great opportunity to meet with a smaller group of colleagues who share common professional interests. The Opening Sessions will take place on Thursday 16 September from 14.00–16.00.
The EAIE Exhibition has over 100 stands designed to introduce you to new programmes, publications and products. This is an excellent opportunity to meet colleagues from around the world, exchange ideas and build connections.
Keep an eye on the various activities organised by the EAIE SAINTs during the conference. These EAIE veterans are willing to mentor anyone early to mid-career pro-bono!
Professional groups meet and greet
On Friday 17 September from 10.00–10.45, we invite you to join us for a meet and greet. Chat to PS Board members and SIG contact persons over refreshments to learn more about a particular PS or SIG, their activities and how to get involved. The EAIE SAINTs will also be present.
Tools to facilitate networking
Electronic agenda
The electronic agenda is another way to get in touch with conference participants before and during the conference and to build your own conference schedule. The agenda will be online starting in August.
Message boards and partner search boards
During the conference, we recommend using the message boards to search for messages left for you. Use the specific regions of the partner search boards to help you find a future institutional partner…or help them find you.
