Who can join the EAIE?
Any individual interested in the aims of the EAIE may apply for membership. We accept applications for membership from individuals and from institutions or organisations on behalf of specific individuals.
Why should I become an EAIE member?
There is a wide range of benefits offered by the EAIE to its members. These include worldwide networking, partner search, professional development, discounts on training courses and conference participation, access to the EAIE membership directory and on-line events calendar, free publications and special offers on various other publications. Does the EAIE provide funding or scholarships for students?
No, the EAIE does not provide funding nor does it award any scholarships. Please visit our useful links section for more information on funding offered by other organisations. You could also contact one of our Courtesy Associates for more information. Finally, you might want to consult the Grants Register that is published every year by Palgrave Macmillan (a comprehensive guide to postgraduate and professional funding worldwide).
How can I apply for EAIE membership?
You can apply for membership by completing our on-line application form. If you are unable to use this application form, please contact us and we can send it to you either by fax or by post.
Can I apply for institutional membership of the EAIE?
No, institutions and organisations cannot become members of the EAIE. Membership is individual and personal.
What happens after I send my application form?
When we receive the form, we will process your membership application as quickly as possible. We will send you a welcome package and an invoice for your membership fee.
How much does EAIE membership cost?
Membership costs EUR 175 per year. We offer a reduced fee of EUR 85 per year to applicants working in countries classified as 'low-income economies' or 'lower-middle economies' by the World Bank.
How can I pay my membership invoice?
We accept payments by bank transfer, credit card (Visa, Master Card and American Express) or cheque. Instructions and information about payment are given on the invoice.
How long does my EAIE membership last?
Membership lasts for 12 months, after which you will receive a letter to renew your membership for the following year. Your membership will be effective on the first day of the calendar month following application. If you apply on 17 April, for example, your membership will start on 1 May and it will end on 30 April of the following year.
Can I transfer my EAIE membership to someone else?
Yes, you can transfer your membership permanently to another person within the same organisation. Requests for transfer have to be sent in writing to the EAIE Secretariat.
Can I cancel my EAIE membership?
Yes, you can end your membership at any time; simply send your request in writing to the EAIE Secretariat. However, no refund of the membership fee is possible, and any outstanding invoices must be paid.
