Travel to Madrid
By air
Madrid Barajas Airport is located 12 km from the city centre. Over 100 airline companies fly to Barajas Airport, offering you the wide array of choice between short-distance and long-haul flights. All Iberia and OneWorld Alliance flights arrive at Terminal 4, while other carriers arrive at Terminals 1, 2 and 3.
The Madrid Convention Bureau will have desks located in Terminals 1 and 4 to assist EAIE participants. These will be open on Wednesday 16 and Thursday 17 September from 09.00–17.00.
By train
Rail Travel in Spain is a dream with AVE high speed trains. The AVE operates on the Madrid-Cordoba-Seville route and can whisk you to or from Madrid and Seville in just 2.5 hours, while Madrid to Cordoba takes only 1 hour 45 minutes. This is one of Europe's finest rail services with a guarantee that if your train is more than 5 minutes late you're entitled to a full refund. You can now book AVE tickets on-line thanks to a new initiative between RENFE (Spanish Rail, www.renfe.es) and Rail Europe (www.qksrv.net) who operate the sale of European rail passes.

The conference will be held at the Palacio Municipal de Congresos.
Metro
By far, the quickest and easiest way to reach the conference centre is by metro. The Madrid metro system is modern, clean and trains travel very frequently.
From airport to conference centre
Take Metro line 8 direction ‘Nuevos Ministerios’ to stop ‘Campo de las Naciones’. The conference centre is located on the main street just up from the metro station. Please note that when travelling to or from the airport, an extra metro fee of EUR 1.00 is applied. If you are travelling on a metro card (see above) this supplementary fare is included.
