Cancellation by a participant
Participants can cancel their participation free of charge up until the registration deadline (7 weeks before the start of the event).
Afterwards, participants will be charged a cancellation fee of 50% of the general participation fee regardless of whether payment has been received or not. Fees for additional activities such as networking events will not be refunded.
In case of a cancellation less than 3 weeks before the start of the event, or no-show at the event, the full fee will be charged. Participants will receive a refund of the general participation fee only in cases of illness supported by the submission of an original doctor’s note or certificate. Fees for additional activities such as networking events will not be refunded.
Please note that no exception will be made in the event that your visa application is declined. Obtaining a visa and all the associated costs is the sole responsibility of the participant. The EAIE cannot assist in the visa application process other than in the issue of a letter of ‘invitation to attend’. The letter of invitation is only issued once full payment has been received.
Cancellation by the EAIE
If a course doesn't receive a sufficient number of participants, the EAIE will be forced to cancel it. The EAIE will do this no later than 6 weeks before the start of the event, and all registered participants will receive a full refund of any registration fees paid. The EAIE cannot be held liable for any costs incurred by participants (eg flight tickets).
Should the EAIE be forced to cancel a course owing to circumstances beyond its control, all registered participants will receive a 50% refund of the general participation fee. The EAIE cannot be held liable for costs incurred by participants (eg flight tickets).
The trainer will accommodate the participants’ training needs as much as possible, as long as these are within reason and do not harm the objectives of the course. It is assumed that the participant will take part in the course with a fundamentally positive attitude.
Disproportionate resistance will be addressed by the trainer for the sake of the success of the course. However, if a participant continues to behave in a way that is disruptive to the progress and spirit of the course or if a participant reacts improperly, extremely defensively or even aggressively to feedback from the trainer or other participants, the EAIE reserves the right to expel the participant from further participation. No refund of the participation fee will be given.
