A session is designed to provide a quick, engaging forum for the exchange of ideas around a specific topic. The chair briefly introduces the speakers and stimulates the discussion of different viewpoints among speakers and participants.
You can propose a session that lasts either:
• 30 minutes: A quick introduction or update on a key topic followed by audience discussion
• 60 minutes: More time for audience interaction and in-depth, thought-provoking presentations discussing hot topics, innovations, reflections and best practice
Sessions can be done in various formats including panel sessions, roundtable group discussions or a mixture of both. Please feel free to be creative and suggest new formats and tools to engage your audience, eg debates, audience question-led sessions, interviewer and interviewee sessions, poll-taking sessions, gamification, etc.
Sessions are assessed based on the following criteria:
• Quality of content
• Relevance to the field
• Diversity of speakers
