The EAIE President, Hans-Georg van Liempd, works at Tilburg University. The EAIE highly appreciates the university's support for his work for the Association. Tilburg University's mission is to inspire students and faculty members to reach their full potential. Through top-level research and outstanding teaching the university is determined to contribute to a better society. They acquire new ideas and insights by researching, learning and understanding. Their slogan, 'Understanding Society', is more relevant today than it has ever been. Their knowledge often arises as a result of collaborations between different research disciplines, a process that is frequently innovative and inspirational.
The Academic Cooperation Association (ACA) is a federation of national organisations from Europe and beyond, which all fund and encourage the internationalisation of their higher education systems. ACA has its own book series, it carries out studies, and it organises a comprehensive international series of seminars and conferences.
The European Centre for Strategic Management of Universities (ESMU) promotes strategic management developments and practices in European universities through European-wide networks of professionals, projects, benchmarking exercises, training programmes and study tours. The association works closely with the European Commission on EU policy development and EU programmes in the area of the modernization of European universities and their internationalisation.
The European University Association (EUA) represents and supports higher education institutions in 47 countries, providing them with a unique forum to cooperate and keep abreast of the latest trends in higher education and research policies. Members of the Association are European universities involved in teaching and research, national associations of rectors and other organisations active in higher education and research.
The African Network for Internationalisation of Education (ANIE) is a pan-African membership-based non-governmental organisation committed to the advancement of high-quality research, professional development, policy dialogue, information sharing and advocacy on the internationalisation of higher education with prime focus on Africa. ANIE takes a pioneering role in enhancing the understanding, development and policy interventions on the international dimension of higher education in Africa. It partners with other national, regional and international bodies, representing its members' views and concerns in public debates and advocacy activities.
The International Education Association of South Africa (IEASA), a non-profit association, is the only South African organisation representing the interests of those engaged in the internationalisation of higher education in South Africa. It is a member-oriented and inspired organisation promoting international education and providing professional development opportunities in the field. The organisation focuses on three major areas: creating and disseminating knowledge, influencing internationalisation policy and maintaining a strong association.
The Asia-Pacific Association for International Education (APAIE) is an international non-profit organization whose goal is to activate and reinforce the internationalization of higher education in the Asia-Pacific region and around the world, and to engage the professional challenges of individuals in international education.
The International Education Association of Australia (IEAA) empowers professionals, engages institutions and enhances Australia’s reputation as a provider of world-class education. IEAA serves the needs and interests of professional staff and academics working in international education. IEAA works in close collaboration with industry stakeholders, affiliated peak bodies and government. The organisation also has an active research program and public policy agenda. Together with IDP Education, IEAA presents the Australian International Education Conference (AIEC), the largest of its kind in the Asia-Pacific.
The Association of International Education Administrators (AIEA) is composed of institutional leaders engaged in advancing international higher education. Purpose: to provide an effective voice on significant issues within international education; improve and promote international education programming and administration within higher education institutions; establish and maintain a professional network among international education institutional leaders; and cooperate with national and international groups with similar interests.
The Mexican Association for International Education (AMPEI), founded in July 1992, is an organization whose mission is to contribute to strengthening the academic quality of Mexican educational institutions through international cooperation by promoting academic exchange, research and collaboration among Institutions of Higher Education in Mexico and abroad and Annual Conference Organization.
NAFSA: Association of International Educators and its members believe that international education and exchange – connecting students, scholars, educators, and citizens across borders – is fundamental to building mutual understanding; preparing the next generation with vital cross-cultural and global skills; and creating the conditions for a more peaceful world. With nearly 10,000 members, NAFSA is the world's largest nonprofit professional association dedicated to international education.
The International Association of Universities (IAU), founded in 1950, is the UNESCO-based worldwide association of higher education institutions, bringing together institutions and organizations from every region for reflection and joint action. The Association disseminates information, undertakes research, including on internationalization, develops policy statements and publishes reference resources for the benefit of the wider higher education community.
The OECD/IMHE (Programme on Institutional Management in Higher Education) brings together higher education institutions and governments to share best practices, ideas and potential models to meet these challenges through networks, studies and research.
The Network of International Education Associations (NIEA) is an association of non-profit, non-government international education associations from countries and regions throughout the world which share a common mission to advance the internationalisation of higher education. The network advances the global learning of post-secondary education organisations through the exchange of information and dialog, advocacy for international education, professional development, and discovery of new approaches to international education.
