Knowledge Development Adviser

We are looking for a seasoned international higher education professional who is eager to contribute to the EAIE’s strategic priorities by:

  • Helping the EAIE be responsive to real-time developments in the field of international higher education
  • Driving the EAIE’s knowledge development agenda
  • Providing insight beyond the EAIE’s standard framework
  • Identifying new, unexplored research
  • Contributing to policy development.

Position within the organisation

The Knowledge Development Adviser reports directly to the EAIE Executive Director. He/she works with the EAIE Office staff and leadership bodies.

Essential duties and responsibilities

  • Work to drive the knowledge agenda of the EAIE, understanding the need for synergy between the EAIE’s product & service portfolio: training, conference, and content dissemination
  • Participates in the EAIE Knowledge Development Task Force, which has the responsibility to keep a wide-angle vision on internal and external expertise and emerging themes in the field
  • Give input into the creation of case studies, thought papers, research and other outputs which clearly and compellingly communicate research findings and best practices
  • Conduct and/or project manage research studies as required
  • Support the EAIE in developing an excellent, well-used, relevant online bank of case studies, resources and research that help our members in their job
  • Help the EAIE to stay up-to-date on existing knowledge produced in the field, by conducting research and performing benchmarks as required.

Specific knowledge, skills and experience

  • At least eight years of experience working in the field of international higher education. Mix of practical background and scholarly background
  • Extensive network in the field of international higher education in Europe
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

MA Degree in Higher Education Management/International Education/European Studies/International relations (or comparable).
