Admissions Officers and Credential Evaluators (ACE)

ACE is a network of professionals actively involved in credential evaluation, student mobility and recognition of periods of study abroad.

Mission

ACE aims to serve the interests of its members by providing a platform for discussion, networking and sharing of best practices.

Objectives

• Improve and enhance communication between its members, thus making available to all of them the enormous potential of information already existing throughout the group.
• Identify recognition problems and providing a forum for discussion.
• Review and develop structural arrangements for the evaluation of foreign qualifications and the recognition of periods of study abroad.
• Develop theory, methodologies and best practices in credential evaluation and international admissions.
• Identify and discuss policy, legal and political issues that impact recognition of educational credentials.
• Elicit session proposals and workshop proposals that cater for the needs of ACE affiliates and for the Association in general.
• Provide training courses on major ACE subjects.
• Seek the involvement of major networks that are of immediate relevance for the professions that ACE represents (evaluation and recognition). Examples of such networks are the ENIC-NARIC network, NAFSA, AACRAO and the newly established global evaluators community, The Connection.
• Advocate the cause of Digital Student Data Portability (DSDP), by ensuring a number of session slots within the ACE track at every annual conference.
