Health Internationalisation (HI)
HI provides a platform for anyone who is active in the field of internationalisation of health care education, such as medicine, nursing, dentistry, dental hygiene, midwifery, occupational health, optometry, physiotherapy, biomedical science, biomedicine, life sciences, pharmacy and other professions.
HI helps to address the growing need for internationally oriented health care professionals. Healthcare professions are differently structured in all countries, and the profession is faced with different national and international laws and systems. Internationalisation of the educational programmes within this field of work is therefore a complex challenge.
HI provides a platform for discussion and networking in a broad field of health care and health science education. The group aims to promote the exchange of information within and beyond the boundaries of the different courses in the health field.
HI aims to promote the exchange of information within and over the boundaries of the different courses in the health field. This will be done by:
- Gathering and disseminating information on practical issues like malpractice insurance.
- Maintaining a list of active networks in the field of health care and health science education.
- Organising sessions during the EAIE conferences on topics like quality assurance, English taught courses, networks and insurance.
