New SAFSA Mentorship Programme

We are proud to present the new SAFSA Mentorship Programme, which is open to all SAFSA members who will be attending the 2011 EAIE conference in Copenhagen.

The SAFSA Mentorship Programme will provide a platform for both newcomers (mentees) and experienced advisors (mentors) to develop supportive relationships. Mentees benefit from the expertise and advice they receive from their mentors, whereas mentors get the opportunity to develop their professional advising skills, and enhance their connections and knowledge within the field. Mentors should be people with at least six years of experience as advisors. Mentees can be newcomers with up to two years of experience in their role.

The mentorship will last for a year and consist of approximately two hours of communication time per month. The mentor/mentee pairs will meet at the EAIE Conference on Wednesday 14 September 2011.

How do I apply for the mentorship programme?

Please download and fill in the application form and e-mail back to Ingrid Gehrke, SAFSA Associate Chair (ingrid.gehrke@fh-joanneum.at) by 26 August. Ingrid will do the matching and send you further information.
