Setting up a new summer school? Wanting to discuss challenges and solutions to problems you have encountered in running your programmes?

Because there is such a range of Summer Schools across Europe all offering different types of programme, we are not all in competition for the same students! It is good to try to keep our offerings diverse, and by talking to other providers and by finding out exactly what they offer, we can build our knowledge and benefit our own programmes.

There are several ways to get involved, find peer groups who can help you, and share your own expertise:

  • Come and join the NESS-related sessions at the Madrid conference.
  • Come to the NESS open session in Madrid (time/date to be confirmed).
  • Post a question in the NESS E-community.
  • Become active in presenting and chairing sessions We need good speakers who can talk about aspects of running, planning and recruiting for Summer Schools generally.
  • Come to training sessions organised by the EAIE (See NESS training)
  • Consider joining NAASS, too! NAASS is the North American Association of Summer Sessions.
