On 12-13 September 2005 the Association of International Education Administrators (AIEA) and the European Association of International Education (EAIE)/International Relations Managers (IRM) held the first joint "Seminar on Current Issues in the Administration of International Education" in Zakopane, Poland, just before the 17th annual conference of EAIE. The second second joint EAIE-AIEA seminar, "TransAtlantic Dialogue: Seminar on Current Issues in the Administration of International Education", will be held on 10-12 September 2006, just before the 18th annual conference of EAIE in Basel, Switzerland. More information will soon be available on the EAIE-L email list.
Past IRM activities have included:
- IRM Members Survey (May 2000)
- Task forces on "Re-defining the IRM Membership" and "Bibliographies on Information Resources and Strategic Management".
- Publication of session proceedings on "The role of International Relations Manager in European institutions of higher education".
IRM members are asked to participate actively by bringing forward ideas and interesting topics for future work.
