FEDORA and the EAIE have established a partnership over the last years with FEDORA being a Courtesy Associate of the EAIE. In order to develop a closer working relationship, the governing bodies of both organisations have decided that FEDORA should become a Special Interest Group (SIG) within the EAIE. This became effective on 1 February 2010.
To explore the possibilities for closer cooperation, three joint working groups and a steering group have been created, which will look into the details of the respective activities, areas of joint interest and synergies.
FEDORA (European Forum for Student Guidance & Counselling) is the Special Interest Group for all EAIE members involved in guidance and counselling of students in higher education.
FEDORA is of interest to those working with domestic and international students in the field of Educational, Psychological and Career Guidance & Counselling as well as those working towards inclusion/equal opportunities for disabled students. FEDORA was founded in 1988 to help student advisors across Europe develop their ability to support, guide and inform students about studying and working in Europe. Today, it comprises a network of approximately 350 people in 27 European countries.
