EAIE workshops provide great opportunities for hands-on, intensive training and lively discussion. They are held on 10 and 11 September and vary in length from a half day to one and a half days. Most workshops are organised by the EAIE's Professional Sections (PSs) and Special Interest Groups (SIGs), but in many cases participation can be of interest to those outside that PS or SIG.
Pre-registration via the on-line form and payment of an additional fee are required for participation in a workshop.
All workshops are limited to 30 participants, unless otherwise specified.
The core conference programme, which starts on Thursday afternoon, 11 September, contains over 90 sessions covering a wide variety of current and significant topics in international education, arranged in 11 parallel streams.
Streams
The conference is built around 11 thematic streams. Most of the sessions have also been assigned to the EAIE Professional Section (PS) or Special Interest Group (SIG) for which they are most relevant, depending on their content: you will find the relevant abbreviations after the session titles (see page 9 for definitions). In most cases streams therefore contain sessions from a number of different PSs and/or SIGs. Attendance at a session is not restricted to members of a particular PS or SIG - the abbreviations are given for guidance only.
Session format, description and level
The session formats and descriptions, and their date/time and location, will be detailed in the Conference Programme distributed upon registration in Antwerp, and posted in advance on the EAIE website.
The list of speakers is complete at the time of going to print. The EAIE reserves the right to make changes to the programme and list of speakers.
Join leading experts and increase your knowledge of hot issues in the field. Seminars aim to expand participants' knowledge of broad themes, rather than concentrating on the improvement of skills, which is the focus of workshops.
Conference participants appreciate poster sessions for their intimate, in-depth discussions. The combination of text and graphics in a poster format is used as a starting point for discussion on research or new procedures and technologies being used in the internationalisation of higher education.
This year you will find a variety of posters giving you the chance to have one-on-one discussions with presenters who are passionate about their projects and research.
All presenters will be available for their presentation at the following timeslots on Friday 12 September from 10.00-11.00 and 15.30-16.30.
